Guess what I found when I was browsing through Lelong.com.my.

Someone actually wanted to sell off his OLD, DEAD hard disk! ROTFL!

Check it out :

No reserve RM1 auction for one (1) DEAD, non-functional IBM 13.6GB hard disk. Includes two jumpers for master/slave settings. What you see in the picture is what you will get.

Drive is was bought in 2000. The complete specs are on the label here.

This drive has stopped working. I cannot boot with it, and the system does not recognise it.

If no one wants it, I am throwing it out. Life is short and HDs are cheap, so I just bought a new one. It you know how to repair HDs or can exchange this drive, then feel free to bid on it.

I repeat, this is a dead, non-functional, ROSAK, kaput drive. Please don't complain if it doesn't work (duh). There is no tech support, no warranty, and no returns.

Winner must self collect in Petaling Jaya, Sect 16 or Sect 17 only. If you want this shipped, you must prepay all costs. No COD. The minimum shipping option is Pos Malaysia registered. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not bid.

If he can TRY to sell a 13.6GB hard disk for RM 1, I'm sure the 40GB Deathstar should get at least RM 3?

LOL! If his hard disk can get RM 1 (USD 0.26), yours should fetch at least RM 8 (USD 2.10).

On a similar note, there's now another guy selling a dead CD-RW drive.

This drive has stopped working. It doesn't recognise any CDs and it will not burn any CDs either. I don't know why.

It's only good if you know how to repair burners, use it for spare parts or can exchange this drive.

I say again, this is a DEAD and NON-FUNCTIONAL drive. Please understand this before you bid, as I will not entertain complaints of it being faulty etc. later.
