They have an older brother who knows a little about computers. He goes to cybercafes all the time.

In fact, his mother is so worried about how much money he spends there. At least now they can save on his cybercafe trips.

Well, you know kids. They just spend what they have.

That's why it was a good idea to give them a computer and at least a reasonably good one. So her eldest son will no longer have to go to the cybercafe to play his games.

Don't get me wrong. He seems like a really good kid. Actually stopped schooling to help his father fish. But it has been an expensive hobby for the family.

err, you know what, it's similar to my main computer's specs except the hard drives and i've a dvd burner instead =/

mine:
athlon xp 1700+ (palo)
nvidia nforce 2 chipset mobo(kt266a mobo blew so i got this instead)
radeon 9100
2*512mb sticks of ddr ram
17" samsung crt

err, i know it's not comparable in a sense, but this only goes to show how outdated i am in the 'scene' =/

LOL! DYKT : That was the basis of my testbed before I upgraded it recently?

Well, TBH, it's still quite powerful, especially if you have a lot of RAM and a good graphics card.
