Default Did our government kill yet another innocent person???

BASTARDS. That's what I think they are. The MACC, as well as the police, are nothing more than dogs of the Barisan Nasional government.

When I first read about the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency) raiding and "interviewing" opposition politicians, including Teresa Kok, Hannah Yeoh and Elizabeth Wong, I knew those dogs were up to no good. But I never would have thought they would go to the extent of KILLING someone!

Yes, they may deny it, but as sure as the sun rises and sets everyday, you can be sure they are GUILTY as sin, whether they actually pushed Teoh Beng Hock out the window or not. Why the hell would a young man under their custody suddenly jump out the window of the MACC office when he's to be married the next day????

You can be sure that it wasn't because he missed his fiancee so much he just couldn't wait to take the lifts or the stairs. What we can be sure of is that he was interrogated until the wee hours of the morning (even though he was "just a witness") and mysteriously "released" at 3:45 am. Oddly enough, he didn't bother calling anyone to pick him up since he's unlikely to be able to get home by himself.

No, if you believe the cops, he decided to take the quick ride down on the gravity highway. Sudden death? What the HELL are you talking about? Do you think we are idiots? How the hell did you come up with such a verdict so fast, when it's so bloody obvious that he died in "MYSTERIOUS" circumstances?

To the PM Najib and the BN government, you have made a VERY, VERY GRAVE mistake. By killing an innocent man, you have made him a martyr. He will be the new rallying point, around which we will build the Barisan Nasional's tomb!!!! MARK MY WORDS!!!!

For context, please read these :

Quote:
Exco's aide falls to death in mysterious circumstances
(MySinchew) - Teoh Beng Hock, political secretary to Selangor executive council member Ean Yong Hian Wah, died under mysterious circumstances after plunging Thursday from a building where the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is located.

Teoh was taken in for questioning by the MACC Wednesday evening in relation to a probe on several Pakatan assemblypersons. DAP has issued a statement only saying that DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) leaders, to be led by its national chairman Rasah MP Loke Siew Fook, will hold a press conference Friday at its head office in Petaling Jaya on the death.

The 30-year old Teoh was a former Sin Chew Daily journalist before leaving to take up his appointment after the 2008 general elections. The Sin Chew newsroom received the news with shock, especially those who had worked with him previously.

His body was discovered by a cleaner around 1:30pm on Thursday on the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam which houses the Selangor head office of MACC on the 14th floor.

It is believed MACC released Teoh around 4am on Thursday after having been held overnight.

Selangor Chief Police Officer Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, is reported as saying that police would be interviewing the man who was last seen with Teoh.

He assured there would be no cover up and there would be a thorough investigation into Teoh’s death.

"We have requested for private and government pathologists to be present and assist us in our investigations," he said.

DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said he and other Pakatan Rakyat leaders would be meeting the MACC at 10am on Friday. Several Selangor executive council members were at the scene Thursday afternoon. Other DAP leaders at the MACC headquarters are Ronnie Liu, Teng Chang Khim and Tony Pua.

On Wednesday, MACC officers seized a desktop computer belonging to the government as well as Teoh’s personal notebook when they raided Ean Yong’s office at the state secretariat building.

MACC investigation division director Shukri Abdull (right) told reporters that Teo was released at 3.45am but the deceased did not go home and was seen still loitering in the building.

"Nobody saw him after that until his body was found at around 1.30pm," he said.

Kota Alam Shah assemblyperson M Manoharan, who accompanied Teoh to the MACC office yesterday was the last to see Teoh at around 7.00 p.m.

The MACC also raided the office of Kampung Tunku state assemblyperson Lau Weng San yesterday.

Apart from Ean and Lau, six other Pakatan elected representatives are also under investigation -, Teresa Kok (Kinrara), Hannah Yeoh (Subang), Elizabeth Wong (Bukit Lanjan), Dr Cheah Wing Yin (Damansara Utama) and Edward Lee (Bukit Gasing).

The commission had earlier questioned several people, including the personal aides of five assemblypersons - Ean, Lau, Kok, Wong and Yeoh.

Cops classify Teoh’s case as “sudden death”
By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani, The Malaysian Insider
Selangor CPO Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said tonight the authorities had classified the death of Teoh Beng Hock as sudden death and do not see any evidence of foul play so far.

“So far the police do not see any suspicious circumstances in this case and will wait for the report. We will carry out the investigation properly and thoroughly,” he said.

Teoh, the political secretary of Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah, was taken in for questioning by the MACC yesterday at its 14th floor office in Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam.

MACC officials claimed he was freed but his body was later found sprawled on the roof of a five-storey building next door.

It is unclear if Teoh, a former journalist with Chinese daily Sin Chew Jit Poh, fell or jumped from the MACC office.

Khalid told reporters that forensic teams from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Klang have examined Teoh’s body and the police had offered the victim’s family to bring their own team but it did not show up.

The police also allowed the victim’s brother to see the body at the scene.

“This is a very sensitive case. That was why there were many pathology experts from different places,” he said.

Khalid confirmed that a janitor found th body at 1.30pm and the police have begun questioning a few officers from the MACC.
He also said that the gathering outside the MACC office tonight was not legal but he was allowing it tonight “because of the circumstances”.

A crowd of 500 people had gathered at the scene for a candlelight vigil in his memory, which soon grew into a protest with angry chants of “Najib pembunuh, BN zalim, BN jahanam” (murderer Najib, cruel BN, go to hell, BN)and “Reformasi!”

The post-mortem examination will be conducted at 9.30am at the Klang hospital.

The writing was already on the wall so long ago
Raja Petra Kamarudin

The writing was already on the wall very much earlier. Alarm bells were wailing like banshees. But this was largely ignored. It was ignored because it was Malaysia Today that had triggered the alarm bells. Malaysia Today is not the most reliable source. It does not offer the best of information. What Malaysia Today dabbles in are rumours and innuendoes.

When the Anti-Corruption Agency, now called the MACC, kidnapped the family of a police inspector, Malaysia Today raised the alarm. They had kidnapped the wife and child of a police inspector who had investigated a Chinese underworld boss on the instructions of a higher-up with the rank of ASP.

The inspector was just doing what his boss had ordered him to do, and that was to open a file and launch an investigation into the activities of the Chinese prostitution, loan shark, drugs and gambling syndicate. And this resulted in the detention of three syndicate bosses.

What the MACC wanted the police inspector to do was quite simple. They wanted him to change his report so that the three underworld bosses can be freed from detention. And he would have to do that if he wants to secure the release of his family.

The police inspector refused to do that. Instead, he made a police report. And so did his wife. But nothing was done about the matter. The MACC officers were not arrested and dragged to court on kidnapping charges.

The MACC then leaked information to the media that they are investigating a very senior police officer, the Director of the CCD, for the crime of not declaring RM27 million worth of assets. The fact that MACC investigations come under the Official Secrets Act was not a hindrance. After all, the OSA is only used against opposition supporters and not against those who serve those who walk in the corridors of power.

Nevertheless, the Director of the CCD was finally not charged for not declaring RM27 million in assets. He was charged for using police property for his personal reasons, something that all government officers, ministers and politicians do blatantly every day of the week. But his real crime is that he detained several Chinese underworld bosses who control the prostitution, loan shark, drugs and gambling business all over Malaysia.

Then they arrested the lawyer who acted for the CCD Director. The MACC officers came to his office on the eve of Hari Raya and handcuffed him after roughing him up like one would do to an armed bank robber. To ensure that the lawyer suffered the greatest embarrassment this Hollywood-style arrest was done in full view of the entire office.

Malaysia Today wrote about all this. Malaysia Today not only wrote about all this but Malaysia Today repeated the stories again and again to make sure no one would say they somehow missed the story. But still nothing was done. No one denied the story. More importantly, no one did anything about what Malaysia Today revealed.

The MACC has been a tool of those who walk in the corridors of power for a long, long time. Officially, Barisan Nasional has 14 component members with Umno as the lead partner. Unofficially, Barisan Nasional has seventeen component members. The Election Commission is the fifteenth component member of Barisan Nasional, the Malaysian police the sixteenth, and the MACC the seventeenth. They all serve the interests of Umno and the Prime Minister.

“Where is the smoking gun?” they ask. “Show me the body!” they demand. No gun, no body, then no crime has been committed.

Well, today, there is a body. It is the body of a most unfortunate Chinese opposition member who was arrested and tortured by the MACC officers. Yes, he was tortured. And he was tortured because the MACC wanted him to talk.

But he could not talk. He could not talk because there was nothing to talk about. The MACC wanted him to finger his comrades in the opposition. They wanted him to implicate his friends in the opposition for various crimes that the MACC alleges had been committed by those in the opposition.

He tried to explain that he is not being stubborn. He tried to explain that no crime had been committed. He tried to explain that he could not possibly implicate his comrades in the opposition for various crimes if these crimes are merely a figment of the MACC’s imagination.

So they continued to torture him. And he could no longer stand the torture. After all, he is not the macho type of man. He is but a gentle man who only wanted to get married this weekend. That was all that he wanted.

They threatened to kill him if he refuses to talk. With tears running down his cheeks he begged for mercy and pleaded with them not to harm him. They threatened to throw him off the top floor if he refuses to talk. Sobbing like a baby he went down on his knees and begged for his life.

They dragged him across the room and opened the window. Then something went terribly wrong. It was supposed to be just a threat. They just wanted to put fear in him. They did not really want to throw him off the top floor. They just wanted him to see what the ground floor looks like from the top floor.

The unfortunate young man panicked. He went ballistic when he saw the distance he would have to travel before hitting the ground floor. He struggled. They could not hold onto him. Gravity took over and the life of this young man was prematurely snuffed out.

The MACC then announced that they had released him the night before. They failed to announce that they had not released him from custody but released him from this world. Then they suddenly found his body the day after. He jumped. He committed suicide. He took his own life. He was never tortured. He was not dragged to the window with the threat that they would teach him how to fly.

This has been going on for far too long. The MACC acts like God. They kidnap families and torture those they arrest. They threaten those they interrogate with death if they refuse to talk.

And now one young man has really died. But no one will be punished. No one will be punished because they will say the young man took his own life. Why he took his own life no one knows. He was never tortured. He was never threatened with death. He was not made to look how far down the ground floor is. He was not accidentally dropped when he panicked and struggled and they could not get a good grip on him.

That is what they will be telling you and me later today.

Death of Teo Beng Hock : MACC must be held to account
Lil Hummingbird dropped by a little while ago.

LH : “Nazri’s talking c*+k again!. Malaysiakini reports that he warned all and sundry, and Pakatan Rakyat in particular, not to speculate on how Teo Beng Hock, political secretary to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah fell to his death from the MACC Selangor headquarters in Shah Alalm, and then he shoots off his big mouth and says : “I was informed by MACC earlier that he was released yesterday (early this morning). Then he should have gone home….and how would we know that he would jump out of the building?”

Who’s jumping to conclusions now, and why?

Another death in custody and Nazri’s quick to shield the custodian?

And in the process cast aspersions on the just departed without a shred of evidence?

Teo didn’t jump off the building and he didn’t kill himself”.

Me : How do you know?

LH : “Did you know that Teo was due to get married tomorrow? Why would he want to take his own life?

Didn’t lawyer Mano, who accompanied Teo to the MACC HQ, and who last saw him at 7pm yesterday, say that Teo “was happy and looked composed”, as was also reported in Malaysiakini?

Teo was not being investigated, was he?”

No, MACC should not be allowed to wash their hands off this matter with mindless explanations like ‘Teo was released but wanted to sleep in the pantry”!

Remember the complaint of the UMNO chap in Kuantan who was taken in by the MACC for investigations? He said the real target was Norza Zakaria. He lodged a police report that he was roughed up and made to strip. Remember?

What’s become of that report? Nothing!

Now we have Teo called in to assist in investigations and, on the eve of his marriage, wants to sleep in the MACC pantry?

And then leaps to his death?

Nazri, just shut up and let Najib explain this”.

This is getting really suspicious. Teoh drove himself to the MACC office, so there was no reason for him to hang around after he was released. Would you ask to sleep in the MACC office after held there for so long? No one in the right mind would. The police are crazy if they think we would believe such nonsense!

Ean Yong sheds more light on Beng Hock’s death
By Wong Choon Mei (Suara Keadilan)

Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah has shed further light on the suspicious death of his personal aide Teoh Beng Hock, rubbishing any talk that the 30-year former journalist had jumped.

Ean told reporters there was no reason for Beng Hock to do so as he had been called in for questioning as a witness and not as a suspect, a fact that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has confirmed.

Secondly, Beng was due to register his marriage on Friday.

Said Ean: “He was going to get married, why would he want to commit suicide. He looked calm. Before he went to the MACC office, Manoharan and myself talked to him about how to answer the questions.

“If there was any problems, I should be the one to face action. I don’t see any reason for him to commit suicide. Furthermore, there was no reason for him to linger (after the interrogation) because his car was here.”

Beng Hock drove there, why didn’t he leave and why was he questioned for so long

According to Ean, Beng Hock had agreed to follow an MACC officer to the headquarters by driving his own car on Wednesday afternoon.

When he didn’t return after several hours, Ean went to the MACC office at 12 midnight.

“I asked the officer if Teoh can come back tomorrow morning but the officer said it was against procedure because the investigation must be completed within 24 hours,” Ean said.

Ean then left the MACC at 1.30am on Thursday, rushing back at 5pm when news broke that Beng Hock had died.

He was made to wait for an hour and a half before MACC deputy commissioner Abu Kassim told him that Teoh was dead, having apparently fallen to his death at 1pm on the 5th floor of the adjacent building. The MACC office is located on the 14th floor and Beng Hock was found in the same clothes he had worn the day before.

Abu Kassim told him Beng Hock was released at 3.45am and was free to go but an eyewitness saw him still in the MACC office at 6am.

Investigation division director Shukri Abdull later told a press conference that Beng Hock was merely a witness to the investigation and that after the interrogation ended, he said he was tired and asked to rest on a settee in the MACC office.

“The man was asked to come to Selangor MACC last night at 5pm for his statement to be recorded and this procedure was completed at 3.45am. At 3.45am, he was allowed to leave, he promised to come today to bring some documents to assist in the investigations,” Shukri said.

“At 6am, he was still seen to be sleeping at the couch but we didn’t see him until 1.30pm today when the body was found.”

Selangor Menteri Besar has confirmed that a janitor found Beng Hock’s body at 1.30pm and the police have begun questioning a few officers from the MACC.

He has promised the state government will appoint an independent pathologist to help police investigate the case. Meanwhile, the Selangor police chief has classified the case a sudden death pending the results of a post-mortem.

“At this point, we are holding MACC responsible until we get a better explanation,” said Subang MP Sivarasa Rasiah.

Here are some pictures of Teoh's body... Conspiciously, there is a complete lack of blood, and the base of his pants was torn off.

1. After a fall of so many stories, is it conceivable that the crime scene is so "clean"???

2. How does a fall result in the tearing of his pants?

Honestly, it just doesn't add up. And the police have already labelled it as "sudden death". That's police parlance for NFA - No Further Action. This is BN's brand of justice. Is this the kind of justice we want? Remember Teoh when the next general elections come along!!!

Indeed. Tons of unanswered questions but the authorities are already labelling it as an "accident" or "suicide". Here's Kim Quek's take on the "accident"

Quote:
Now that the police has said the initial pathologists’ report indicated Teoh died of injury due to a fall from a high place, the mystery is zeroed in on the circumstances surrounding Teoh’s fall from the building. It is here that serious doubts have surfaced over MACC’s version of what happened to Teoh.

Issue 1: Was Teoh ever released by MACC?

MACC chief commissioner Said Hamdan has disclaimed responsibility for Teoh’s death on the ground that Teoh was released before he met his death.

His director of investigations Shukri Abdul had earlier claimed that Teoh was released at 3:30 am on July 16, and was last seen at 6 am sleeping on a couch in the MACC office after been given permission to rest there. The next MACC heard of Teoh was when a cleaner in the building shouted that he discovered a body lying on the 5th storey balcony of the building (Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam) where Teoh was interrogated on the 14th floor.

This story implies that Teoh walked out of the office on his own without being seen, sometime after 6 am. But Teoh couldn’t have done that as he did not have the electronic card to open the door to either leave or enter the office.

If Teoh was released, surely his handphone must have been returned to him. How come his handphone was not with him when his body was found?

Besides, there was no credibility that Teoh had chosen to linger in the same office where he must have been subjected to many hours of traumatic roughing-up in the hands of the interrogators. Any reasonable person would have rushed home at the first instance to escape the dreadful place, considering that his car was conveniently parked in the same building and that he was scheduled to register his marriage with his loved one on the same day.

If indeed Teoh was in custody all the time, why should MACC have concealed this fact if it did no wrong to cause Teoh’s death?

Issue 2: What happened between 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm?

Though Teoh’s body was discovered at 1:30, it was not until after 5 pm that MACC disclosed the news to assemblymen Ean Yong and Ronnie Liu who had been waiting for over an hour in the MACC office insisting to meet Teoh Beng Hock. Why should MACC have hidden the news for so long unless there were compelling reasons which in all probability might not be guilt-free?

Issue 3: Why was the outer timber door of the MACC office unprecedentedly closed for some half an hour at the time when someone discovered Teoh’s body?

The Chinese section of Malaysiakini.com reported on July 17 that its reporter Rahmah Ghazali observed an inexplicable happening at the MACC office at the 14th floor, where the outer timber door was mysteriously shut between 1:15 pm and 1:35 pm, and re-opened shortly before 1:50 pm on July 16.

Rahmah explained that she first arrived at the MACC’s 14th floor office at 1:15 to attend a press conference to be given by assemblyman Lau Weng San. Seeing that no one was around, she went down to the 4th floor to wait at the reception hall. When other reporters arrived at 1:30, she followed them to the 14th floor again, but was surprised to find the outer timber door of the MACC office closed; it was then about 1:35. Thinking that the staff could have closed the door to go for lunch, she and other reporters went down for food. She then called Lau Weng San who expressed disbelief that the timber door was closed, as MACC was supposed to operate around the clock. Knowing that Lau was already on the way, she decided to skip lunch and went back to 14th floor, and found the timber door re-opened this time; the time was about 1:50. Lau arrived at 2 pm. After talking to reporters for about 20 minutes outside the MACC office, he went in to make a report. Of course, none of them knew that Teoh Beng Hock was already dead then.

1:30 was the time when someone discovered Teoh’s body. Why did MACC take the unprecedented step to shut down the office briefly, closing the door between 1:15 and 1:35, and re-opening the door shortly before 1:50? What did the staff do behind that timber door at that crucial moment that they would not want outsiders to see? The mystery seems to deepen.

The GOVT can do what they want.

Election 2008 already was already a wake-up call for them, but if they go back to slumber, it's no surprise that the opposition overtakes them.

I don't think the government will stop here. The word is that this was a witchhunt to knock out the Pakatan Rakyat government in Selangor so they can grab it like they did in Perak.

Otherwise, there's no reason for the MACC to haul up so many assemblymen and their aides over just RM 2,400 worth of Malaysian flags. It's very likely that they were putting great pressure on aides like Teoh Beng Hock in hopes that one of them will crack and give them the confession they need.

Maybe they went overboard in their interrogation. I wouldn't put it beyond these MACC types to threaten to push people out of the windows if that's what it takes to get their confessions. After all, we have seen the Youtube videos on how the police threat their suspects, and most of the MACC folks are ex-police.

Maybe that's what they did - threatened to push him out of the window. Maybe they even hung him partially outside. Who knows.. maybe he panicked and struggled. Maybe that's how he got his pants torn.

The funny thing is there were NO recordings of the interrogations. NONE. What the hell kind of investigation is that? There should have been some kind of voice or video recording in this age and time. The lack of such recordings make it real easy for MACC officials to exceed their boundaries and go beyond what's decent and human.

The people at Utusan (owned by UMNO) are BASTARDS. Why do I say that?

Our government caused the death of Teoh Beng Hock, no matter how they spin it. They killed him on the very day he was supposed to register his marriage to his fiancee who was pregnant with his first child.

Even though he died before his official wedding, his wife-to-be has insisted on marrying him in the traditional wedding and wants her child to bear his surname. Can you find a more loyal girl than that??? Give it up for the sister, my friends!!

So what has Utusan got to do with this and being BASTARDS? Well, instead of offering their condolences to the grieving family, they hit out at the family and called his unborn child a bastard!!

Check this out :

Quote:
Even as Prime Minister Najib Razak put on his most sympathetic expression at the recent photo-shoot with the family of the late Teoh Beng Hock, his hand-picked editors were busy running a series of hate articles against the Selangor political officer, whose death has been widely blamed on national graft buster MACC.

And this time the Umno-owned Utusan may gone a step too far by labelling his unborn child a bastard.

The Teohs now want an apology for those boorish and uncouth words.

“This country is ruled by law, not religion. Since the PM has promised to help solve the problem, we will wait for his solution,” Beng Hock’s sister Lee Lan was quoted as saying in the Malaysian Insider.

“If my brother did not die, the question of his child’s surname would not have arisen. Who caused his death?”

“My family and the public want to know the cause of death of Beng Hock, how he was killed, who are the culprits, and who are going to be held responsible for his death. MACC can’t deny their responsibility over Beng Hock’s death as he was a witness they should protect and was in their custody.

“We want the Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate the cause of death. This is not a political issue. We want the truth. My brother Beng Hock was killed. He did not commit suicide.”

What did Utusan say this time

In its July 28 edition, Utusan ran the article entitled Nasib Melayu di bumi Melayu or Fate of Malays in the Malay land . The translation of the excerpts that the Teohs found insulting and unacceptable were:

“The Wanita MCA chief released a more extreme statement urging the Home Affairs Minister to grant legitimate status to the unborn child carried by Beng Hock’s girlfriend instead of a child born out of wedlock.

“Even though we all know that they were not officially married or had been cohabiting outside of marriage. Which means, the child is still a bastard child or a child born out of wedlock. How many more children born out of wedlock do we want to legitimise?

“Is the Wanita MCA chief aware of how many Malay Muslim girls have become victims (cohabiting with their Muslim or non-Muslim partners, whether forced or voluntarily), giving birth to children out of wedlock who do not carry their fathers’ names?

“Why has the MCA not defended them? Why did MCA not go see the Home Affairs Minister to legitimise these adulterous relationships? Whatever the cause of Beng Hock’s death, illegitimate relationships remain illegitimate, it cannot be legitimised just because of this incident.

“If fate had it that the Gautama Buddha (also Confucius and Lao Tzu) were still living, certainly the action of the Wanita MCA chief would be condemned because Buddha’s teachings (also other religions, especially Islam) forbid cohabitation (adultery) outside of marriage, what more producing a child born out of wedlock.”
What ****ING wrong did this unborn child do, you bloody hypocrites??? What the **** is wrong with you idiots?

Do you think Teoh Beng Hock intentionally jumped off the MACC building so that his child would be born out of wedlock? If he wasn't thrown out/pushed out on the day of his wedding, would his child be illegitimate???

And why should any child be labelled illegitimate anyway? ALL children are the LEGITIMATE product of the union between a man and a woman, you fools!

Where are your ****ING brains la??? Oops! You haven't even removed the shrinkwrap yet? Never mind, you can sell your brains at premium price because they are brand new!
