That was one of the "excuse" they gave. Well, I went to change my SIM card and my calls continued dropping like usual.

BTW, I've been travelling throughout Sabah the last few weeks and I can tell you, it's equally crappy this side of Malaysia!!

Worst to worst, the bar is full with 3g sign as well, but my mom try to call me the whole day, not even one call went through, the phone is dead silent

Lastly, call my brother's maxis to reach me

Maybe Celcom. I heard that their 3G network is much better.

Send a complain at MCMC website. MCMC have been taking complains seriously and they will call you up to verify the complain and forward it to the Maxis. I did it and Maxis immediately called me up to check on my complain, and they will follow through till the 'resolution' or 'explanation'. I think MCMC is hawking over the telcos these days. But yes. Maxis is really crappy not just on 3G but GSM too. Nothing to do with the iPhone cos not everyone uses data transfers all the time anyway.

After complaining so many times and threatening to sue the bastards over the dropped calls when I was trying to contact my wife's ambulance, they finally deigned to call me several times to "address the issue".

Unfortunately, it's the SAME SHIT.. just a different day. Kept repeating the same questions - where did this occur, what phone are you using, can you change phone, can you change SIM card, can you disable 3G, etc.

What's new? NOTHING!
