It's Day 33. She is getting stronger physically. Still not very communicative. I think she can understand what we say most of the time, but most of the time she just ignores us.

The good news is today, she has started drinking more water, and even allowed us to feed her a small chunk of kuih (Malay cake). It's a start... We are going to try feeding her some juice tomorrow.

I wonder if you should ease all that re-exposure into her (and not overwhelm). I'm very sure things will get a lot better fast. Especially with a great caring and loving family. Hang in there!

No, she doesn't recognize anyone yet, not even her own pictures.

Haven't seen a doctor in 2 days.

The neurosurgical doctors are never around much. They only do rounds once a day - early in the morning, and that's about it.

Jenny improved quite a bit today. They took her tracheostomy and her feeding tube out this morning. She's breathing fine on her own and has started to eat quite a bit today.

She even tried some curry rice and soya bean milk I brought in the evening, although she mostly ate the chicken porridge her mother made. Hospital food here is seriously quite subpar. The soup tastes like salty water. No wonder she didn't eat much of it.

This is an improvement over yesterday when she drank only a little water (after much coaxing!) and a small piece of kuih...

Memory-wise, she still cannot remember anyone or anything, and is still quite irritable but she can interact a little more... when she feels like it.

BTW, Mike and Yen Lin of Western Digital came all the way to visit her today. Thanks so much for the support and prayers, guys!!
