yeah its free . If memtest86 doesn't give you any errors then I am not sure what else could be wrong. If you can try the ram in another system.

If you are still chasing this... it's been awhile. Send me screen print of your BIOS options and I'll give you recommended settings... also if it's not already in here send make model of your mobo.
