Default EXT-P2P's Discard Time

found in my BIOS setting..
MB: Abit AN7
Chipset: nForce2 Ultra 400
BIOS: Phoenix-Award BIOS
BIOS option: EXT-P2P's Discard Time
Option: [ ] 1ms
[ ] 30µs
[ ] 9.6µs
[ ] 3.8µs
Description: Set EXT-P2P's Discard Time to be 30µs to fix SiliconImage Sil3112 SATA controller will crush SATA HDD

i dont understand what it mean and for what.. anybody who khow?..

Same here for my ABIT NF7. I don't know what it does either.
