Question Translation - Read (Write) to Precharge

My ASUS P5B-E has the following 3 "Northbridge Chipset" options:

1) Rank Write to Read Delay - I am assuming this is what other tools call just Write to Read Delay (tWTR).

2) Read to Precharge Delay - My best guess is that this is the Read to Write Delay. Which I've seen as both RWT and tRTW. Any more enlightened input appreciated.

3) Write to Precharge Delay - My best guess is that this the Write Recovery Time (tWR)? Any other wild ass guesses appreciated.

Some Geil DDR2-800, 2 x 1024MB. I'll go find the specific model but I'm just after what these settings mean in the common "tXXX" terms. Not what the actual settings should be... I've figured that out thru 100 reboots and running MemTestPro (very nice util written by a nice guy).

BTW, They all defaulted to 10 in BIOS but test solid at 9, 5 and 9.

1) Rank Write to Read Delay - 4
2) Read to Precharge Delay - 11
3) Write to Precharge Delay - 4

a loose timing to start with.

3-10-3 is pretty standard

.........................

I need to check where I ended up at with the settings but I think it was 5-9-5 which would be very loose. I think I got thru POST with 3-8-3 and thru windows boot at 3-8-4 but memtestpro errors forced me to loosen those... but maybe there's another timing I could've changed to get past the errors. I also ended up bumping the NorthBridge vcore to 1.40v.

I'll get the screen shot of that page next week and if you'd look over my settings I'd really appreciate it.

I'm working in Tampa, FL this week, not at home right now and I forgot to open a port on the firewall when I "rebuilt" my desktop last week so I can't get to the machine remotely.

The mobo has an E6400 in it running at 3.2GHz, pegged CPU 24x7x365 due to running BOINC as a service. FSB = 400.

Thanx much,
Skip
