Ya I haven't owned an NV card since 2003 after Chris Hook gave me a 9800 as a gift. But this card I like for the 120 - 200CAD price range

i think thats a bit extreme.

saying fans liv ein their own world.
i'm a fan of FF cos thats what got me into RPG and pokemon cos i'm a card collector. that doesn't mean i live inside the cards, or i want to be played by other people.

fans i think are people with some sort of layalty to a product/brand for a particualr reason. thats about it, it doesn't mean they imagine weird stuff and live in their own worlds.

woah mate, i said i was a fan. but i didn't say i was insane. your generalising from those mad fans to every other normal fan.

i do talk about FF to loads people mostly cos they wanna play or they're looking for someone to confirm its worth playing. and like i said i'm a fan but it doesn't mean we have to like everything.

and besides man, its not like 'normal' fans dont hav anything else to tlak about. i do talk about other stuff other than FF. pokemon - when i talk about that i mostly speak of with it yugioh wen we just wanna swear. we swear at how new is a let down to the old versions.

There are certain common characteristics to be found in fans interested in different topics and that these characteristics influence the behaviors of those involved in fan behavior (Thorne&Bruner 2006).

There are several groups of fans that can be differentiated by the intensity level of their level of involvement or interest in the hobby (level of fanaticism)[1]

The likelihood for a subject of interest to be elevated to the level of fandom appears to be dictated by its complexity. Complexity allows further involvement of fans for a longer period of time because of the time needed to work the subject of interest 'out.' It also contributes to a greater sense of belonging because of the mental effort invested in the subject. This could be why sci-fi is so popular, some fans feel the need to work out all the scientific kinks in these programs. One example for Star Trek is that a group of fans designed blueprints for federation starships.
