Default Noob Fireworks Shots

I haven't really shot fireworks before, and I didn't have time to prepare for these, that's why the settings was at ISO1600, no longer lens, no proper tripod...and it was just outside my window...

Enough of excuses, here are the pics.

Pictures are cropped and resized in PS. No other post processing done.

LOL! I mean a better tripod. I'm using a crappy-o-tripod, it still shakes even with the tripod! Look at the bottom of the first shot.

Yeah, I took pictures in the office without flash, so ISO1600 was necessary, and I forgot to change back to ISO200... FYI, ISO1600 is probably the same as ISO400 on my Sony F717.

The noise level of ISO1600 on a DSLR is nothing like even ISO800 on a prosumer digicam That's one of the reason i went the DSLR way

I should be shooting ISO200 rather than using f29...

it's actually a 'fake' technique. you basically set to ISO 1600, -1 stop eV. then in photoshop. you bump up the level by 1eV back.
