The 'legendary' Taiping Lake Garden!

I don't have a lot of time to shoot. I've taken about 20 shots in total, only these 4 are presentable though...Criticisms are welcomed!

Hmm.. I think you sharpened the pictures, right?

I see a lot of halos around the leaves. Especially visible in the first picture.. and somewhat in the last one.

Like the composition of the second shot -- you got the tree and the background as well and somehow they didn't blot each other out,

Like the third shot's perspective.

try shooting in the earlier part of the day, and use longer shutter speed. also, a ND grad filter and polariser would help get the sky nicely exposed too. These two filters are my top priority to get for landscape photog.

I only had about 10 mins to take those shots.

And I couldn't go early in the morning, so this is the results with harsh sunlight...

Nah, after this, I've already decided not to get interested into landscapes photography.

Shoot for fun only...

Actually I wanted to go early in the morning, but I came back to Taiping not to take photos...so I had no choice. The weather was superb in the morning, no clouds at all. Well, I'm only interested in improving these shots without needing to buy extra accessories. I find PL useless with my 717, and I doubt I will need it for my D70.
