Seriously, it's better to have less but good pixels than lots of rubbish pixels... Many people still don't understand, that's why manufacturers are still increasing pixel count... |

Reputation: 315 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 7 | Well, my 1.3 megapixel camera (Olympus C-1) is fairly crappy, and I plan to get a better camera within a year or so. On the other hand, the 100 megapixel large format camera I read about some year ago is way over the top for most users. (Good when you plan to do 20m wide printouts though... Cheers Olle

Even though I'm using DSLR, I almost never use anything above 2MP (2MP is exactly the size of my screen! |

Of which, I just got my hands on a loan of a Nikon Coolscan IV ED... which can scan my films to around easily 11MP! Mad... Now I just need to find time to scan my tons and tons of strips of film.. I still love film. Once I get a more permanent home (home processing) and a car (so that I can drive over to a faraway but good lab) or find a processing/printing lab near my place I'll go back to film. There's just some things that digital sensors can't achieve yet.. |
