Default Kuching.. land of roundabouts the size of football fields

Second time here, but this time, rather devoid of photos, because most of my CF card was taken up by pics of my sister posing all around her campus during her convo..

1. Sg. Sarawak

2. Kuching Waterfront

3. Kuching Waterfront 2

4. Museum of Chinese History

5. Some heart shaped island

6. Look, ma, Google Earth!

7. Mountains..

Wow... So it was the flight to Kuching.

I've never been there. Must go there one day.

Of all the pictures, I think Kuching Waterfront 2 and Museum of Chinese History stands out the most.

The water-paddler provides an interesting focus against the backdrop IMHO. As for the museum, I really like the play of natural light against the walls.

Yup it was.

I actually waited a long time for the speedboat to come in the right angle. There were many speedboats around, and I had already visualized one nice shot of one of them, in that particular background. Prefocused the shot, leaned over the railing, and waited.. and waited.. until the fella came in and killed his engine and sat idle. And then my trigger went off. I think it was 10-15 minutes of waiting.

Eh, that was a speedboat? It looked like a water-paddler or a jetski to me..

I think it was well worth the wait!! Great shot.
