Lazy Sunday....when to take some shots...armed with only the Sigma 100-300 F4.5-6.7. Cloudy and lighting not ideal, had to bump up ISO to 640-800. Focusing was hell since min focusing distance was 2 meters, can forget about marco. Think I have pushed the lens to the max.

I would say it is a decent lens but has its limitations, for me the biggest problem for this lens is its F4.5-6.7 apperture and no IF (there is just no place to whole the lens, even the Nikkor 70-300G has more place to hold). But for the price, one cannot complain.

ISO 800 wor sure need NR lar, think that's the best the lens can do, actually the turtle shot looks sharp because that's the only pic I use USM cause it was soft

Here is the same first pics with a USM, see the diff?

Actually, why not try sharpen/USM it first, then run it thru a better NR software like Noise Ninja?

Well I shoot RAW, I find NR is better than anything else in RAW. I only run USM after resizing for web. USM helps when resizing to this small, but in this case I'm just plain lazy.
