Btw, that's a nice garden you go there!
Oh, I am sure you can grow them from seeds easy. If I had time and a longer growing season I would do it that way. It just is the spot my garden is in does not get sun until afternoon. And it is the best spot in my yard. So they seedlings help me get a month or so ahead. And the all were only $1.50 usd each.

If you want to get the "real deal" real Tabasco seeds, you can buy them on the web somewhere, I just can't remember right now. Off to google (search "Tabasco seeds")

Ah, Here we go! Import some Leian!

And here, Only one dollar for the seeds. http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/hot_peppers.htm

Yeah, You should. I checked their/that website and it says they ship internationaly. And you get ten seeds per package. (I'd get a few just in case). And then once you get them all grown you can use the seeds from the peppers you have grown to grow more! Free peppers for life!

Will have to check if climate is compatible -- would be sad if I got 'em seeds and they didn't grow/sprout.

Also, have heard that commercially-available seeds tend to produce non-sustainable strains (some are sterile after the initial planting, some are only viable for two or three 'generations'..?)

Anyway. Those are secondary factors to consider.

I don't see why they would not grow there. I figure you even grow them on a porch in a contaner as long as it's 5 gallons or larger and well drained. I read up a bit on growing them and the trick with growing the seeds and seedlings it to take extra care not to over water them. Or under water them. Just google it, there is tons of info on the subject.

A start, http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/l...723571347.html

http://www.southdevonchillifarm.co.uk/plants.html Says here you can keep them as "house plants".

Another good one, http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/l...060913740.html

And,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erJ3G3f1jY8

You know,,, I got this crushed red pepper in my spice rack. I wonder if the seeds in that would grow? I might just have to try, just for the heck of it.
