Waw, your panning shot is very sharp and clear! i must learn much from you.
Oh yeah, could you tell me the F and Shutter configuration? for my personal reference

Hey, panning is nothing special! Trust me!

Just aim your camera at the moving object all the time, you will get the result. Of course, there's some luck and practice involved.

80% luck, 20% practice.

For my shots, I use Shutter priority, or Manual mode, depending on the situation. Using shutter priority means you may have to pre focus. Sometimes I use manual focus and manual mode.

Depending on the speed of the object, for very fast object like F1, you may need to use 1/400-1/500. For the Porsche which is slower, I use 1/250-1/320.

If you use slower shutter, you blur the background more, but it's harder to get focus onto the object you are shooting. So adjust the shutter speed to suit your shooting style and the speed of the obejct.

TB: I managed to get very near to the hairpin, the car is going slow there, and it's very near me, that's how I get those shots!

How you watched an F1 race before? Safety car will come out when there's an accident and the rest of the F1 cars will have to follow the speed of the safety car until the track is clear.

My friend found a bag of booze and soft drinks! (worth more than RM70 at grandstand!)

4 Fosters, 3 soft drinks! Rich people...
