I get 70 FPS on the test and I get 40-70 in game.

That's actually only with 512MB RAM too as I only have one of my sticks in right now.

take note that only the original STEAM versions of CS: Source has accurate readings of FPS.
for the other ones (hacked STEAM/CS: Source versions), a 2.4ghz pentium 4/9800pro user can easily get over 100FPS on average if he tweaked it well.

Huh? I'm truly getting poor frame rates, especially when there's a lot of people or someone uses HE on the food stalls in cs_italy!

Did you try cs_office? That's the part where most people will 'crawl'... With flying filing cabinets, desks, chairs, and all...

Of course I do! But I don't normally go to the hostage area, where all the objects are flying.

I love that map too! Not much chance for 'piak piak guns' (sniper).

running my cs: source at 1280x1024 with 4AA/8AF...
they should blocked user from buying 'piak piak guns', i always get sniped by camper from behind
