It means you start feeling disoriented and nauseous because of the continuous moving about and quick turns, forcing your eyes to re-adjust all the time and at a very very quick rate. SOme ppl's brains cant handle all the processing, and they get sick

I've never get motion sickness playing games, fast pace, slow pace, indoor, outdoor, racing games. I've played it all. But HL2 is the first game that gave me motion sickness. The only reason I can think of is the environment...

It's from the field of view (FOV). Check out this thread:

Those commands have been fixing it for most people who get sick from the game.

Wussies! I played for like 14 hours staight in the dark - no problems.
