Sure I do, and so does everybody else that haven't played any FPS games.
Heck, I've actually played FPS a lot! Doom was a favourite game of mine some ten years ago, but that doesn't help a lot when coming to terms with the game controls and tactics of more recent games.

The so called "manual" supplied with BFV was very instructive about how to install the software and get it running. That I can do blindfolded without a manual anyway, since it doesn't differ from most other software.
When it came to actual gameplay, the part that matters and is supposed to make the game unique, it became a lot more vague and pretty useless. It gives lots of hints what to do (tactical in game objectives), but not how to do it.
Some practical examples:
1) Advice: VC can have spawn points in the form of (mobile) tunnel openings. If you find one, destroy it!
My reflection:
What does it look like? How can I destroy it?
My experience/test: Aided by some 3rd party tactical guide I was able to actually find one, when I played as VC, and then managed to destroy it using a few grenades.

2) Advice: Airports have control towers. Destroy these to prevent aircrafts to spawn.
My reflection: What does it look like? How can I destroy it?
My experience/test: Finding them is easy, but they're impossible to destroy. I've tried using most types of ammo/weapons in huge amounts against several parts of the turrets with no visible effect whatsoever!

Crappy, isn't it? They assume you don't know how to install a regular program, while at the same time being an experienced gamer...

Cheers

true..
HL2 fails to bring the G70 down its knees even at 1600x1200 high details..
BF2 hovers around 40-80fps..but graphics < HL2..

erm what do u think? code efficiency?

I think it depends on the number of players in a map determines alot on how much fps you're gonna get in BF2.

I think HL2 is more efficient. Superb graphics with out killer requirements.

True for most games, and "players" include bots!

It's even more important how many of them you have in view at any given time. That's one of the reasons line of sight is limited to 400m in BF2 while IRL 400m is considered an undesireable short range to engage enemies when you use a tank or missiles (2km battle range is rather convenient when maximum range is closer to 4km). For air combat "close range" is considerably longer than that.

Cheers
