Total darkness in Doom 3 - Page 3

Hmm, since it's a ti4200, I would try using a really old driver. Let's say the ones you were using years ago.

these new drivers are being released mainly for the 6xxx and 7xxx series.

Well doom ran ok on my 4200/64. I uninstalled it coz I got 14fps max!

(see spec's)

driver ver. 6.14.10.6177

I have a GeForce T14200 as well and doom although slow played and looked well at 800x600 on it, I believe I was using the 6x.xx drivers.

I've tried running it at 640x480 and 800x600 but to no avail. Just downloaded the 66.93 driver. Gonna try it later.

Oh, before I forget again!

I tried the 66.93 driver several days back. It appeared to be better than the 77.72 driver in that the loading movie scenes worked properly.

Unfortunately, it was still total darkness when I enter the game.

Maybe already asked by someone (too lazy to read all up), but do you change anything in the driver-settings (except resolution) after installing or leave it as is and start D³ right away with standard-settings, both driver and in-game?
In use of RivaTuner?
