Will "ad-supported" be the new distribution model ?

We've just seen what looks like the first fully ad-supported first-person shooter. What do you think, will ad-supported games be the way of the future ? would you download them ? how do you feel about ads in your games ?

Need for Speed: Most Wanted had some ads in them too. When you say ads, do you literally mean that the game has pauses for commercials?

If the ads only show as ingame item or background or get mentioned by the characters in game that should be ok. I don't even mind if they show up during loading screen either.

But if the ads will pause the game, then I am burning the disc.
