Reputation: 28 ![]() Rep Power: 5 | Where can i find MAME files to play old arcade games on XPsp2? Say from '78 thru to '88 ? Rephrase question:When u click on a game link,why wont the game download even though everything on the page suggests that it should?

Reputation: 242 ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 9 | I'm not really sure it is either, although the copyright claims on these supposedly old games would have run out 25 years after they've been filed, or unless the claims have been renewed, and these franchises are in the hands of different license holders.

Reputation: 28 ![]() Rep Power: 5 | After alot of trial & error,I worked out alot of the q's I was unsure about.I d'loaded the latest vers of mame & it wouldn't play the games I wanted,so I tried an older vers & it worked better. Referring to whether or not it is legal to ask about this subject,I'm 99% sure it is.The games such as Frogger,Donkey Kong etc, have had their rights renewed thru ESA.Sites are not allowed to link these games for d'load, but alot of the others would just disappear w/out the emulators. The guy that invented the apple peeler patented that as well,but we can talk about where to get one,because of the time lapse,among other things.
