the GTX that i received was a new GTX.

Cant be. I've had both my GTX for a year now. So they are from the 1st batch. I've had no such problems. U musta had a faulty unit.

Hmm... Can't be. It works well with the other games. I'm only having problems with BioShock and Crysis.

It's also not a heat-related problem since it dies within a few seconds of loading BioShock... and instantly in Crysis as soon as the menu scrolls up, whether it's with the fan at normal speed or forced to maximum speed.

LOL!! Well, it worked alright with everything else. Only those two games, no matter what driver I tried and I tried a LOT!
