Yes modified SLI drivers so you can use boards without NCrap chipsets. The only reason NV won't allow it or support it is because they want to force you to buy a board with there chipset. SLI can be run on any mobo and chipset including Intel if its patched properly

If it wasn't because of this, I think Nvidia would do even better.

Yeah. Unfortunately, they decided that the rights of people who bought their graphics cards should be subservient to their ability to sell more motherboard chipsets.

Hmm... The Crysis benchmark is not entirely an accurate barometer of its true performance. Just tried a slightly overclocked GeForce 8800 GTS.

By right, it should be capable of 30 fps on average at 1600x1200 (High) but it was just too jerky. Now playing Crysis at 1280 x 720 at High to get good frame rates.

Sad but true isn't it they would actually improve there sales but thats the way they have always been. NV PR stinks and what there ultimate goal is .... is a monopoly share of the market like Microsoft has.

Even when your company and product are at a high bad business ethics come back to haunt you. I have seen it countless times.

Crysis was not playable at all if I don't overclock it. Running at 740/1030 gave noticable improvement.

I don't know what's killing the GTS. I mean the graphics are good, but Not really good enough to kill the card IMO. Like Adrian said, could be badly optimised game.

Yup. I look at Crysis, I think STALKER looked better.

Wait until you get to the snow and blizzard. My God... I had to reduce it to Low just to get a good frame rate!

If you want, you can try 1600x1200 or 1680x1050 at Medium. It runs about as fast as 1280x1024 or 1280x720 at High.

Anyway, I can't believe it but I finished Crysis in 3 days. It's so short. Only about 20 hours of play time. I think BioShock lasted longer...
