Blank Screen On Loading BioShock

Man, I can't believe this. We set up a new testbed and reinstalled Windows Vista and the games. Then boom - BioShock would not load.

Whenever I tried loading BioShock, it would just load up a blank screen, that's it. When I switch to the Vista desktop, it says that BioShock has stopped working. WTH....

Anyone facing this same problem?

The only changes we made from the last testbed was a new processor (QX9650) and a new motherboard, the P965-based ASUS P5B-E Plus. Of course, a fresh install of Vista.

The graphics card is a GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB running on the same 169.28 Beta driver we used earlier.

Oh man... It looks like the problem may be due to a corrupted DirectX 10??? Looks like the solution is to reinstall DirectX 10...

did it work after re-installing dx10 adrian?

a friend of mine is having similar problems but on windows xp. i wonder if he should try reinstalling dx9.

Haven't tried it yet. Just got back from outstation.

No idea. Could be the installation of older DX9 games for all I know...
