Psy: games sold locally here are mostly US version. so the US version console i'm getting should work fine. did some research and apparently official local units are actually US versions with an official 220V power adapter.

worse comes to worse, i'll just bite the bullet and .... ahem... it.

yes don't forget that wii is region locked so loading a USA game on a PAL wii will brick the console and you will have a beautiful paper weight.

also, I recommend Tiger Woods and Madden NFL (though it can be hard to remember all the controls). but it's a ton of fun.

there's also a fishing game which I forgot the name, but it's fun to play with friends.

I've heard that both Tiger Woods and Madden are excellent on the Wii with innovative control schemes, but I'm not a sports gamer (unless it's hockey )

the thing I like about the Wii is that it really work out a sweat and the games mostly played within 10-20 mins. just nice for me for a break from work kinda thing.
