Both the Republican and Democrat candidates have been running for nominations for quite a while now. I think McCain has almost gotten enough delegates to become the Republican candidate. But what do you think about the Democrats? Would Obama win... or Hillary? There are people who say that America is just not ready for a black President and should Obama win the Democrat nomination, he may lose the election. Do you think that's true?

Dun why I feel some how having some feminism at the executive post may bring some fresh perspective. Maybe I'm just sick with boys with toys thingy.

True? |

They say that some Democrat insiders are worried that if Obama wins... it could jeopardize the chances of putting a Democrat in power next year. That could explain the sudden shift in voting to the Hillary camp. She just won 3 out of 4 states, including the important Ohio and Texas states.

I'm partial to both actually. I see the good that either one can do. However, I do think they should not just pull out from Iraq. Maybe it's just me, but I believe the next President should finish the job before getting out.

There are many reasons one chooses a candidate over another, here are some that IMO are most crucial. Economy: Got Jobs? Are people spending $$$ back into USA? Capitalistic societies create competition, competition creates better products, better products bring more $$$ and stability, stability requires less governing. This is what made USA what it is... Keeping government in check: Got freedom? Too much government involvement is BAD! "It's not what your country can do for you... It's what you can do for your country." JFKToo many people in the US expect handouts from government. Too many people sit on their @55e5 holding their hand out being a burden instead of being a benefit to society. I work 40 hours a week, pay my taxes and pay for my families health care, etc... If you are capable of doing the same, why should the government (TAXPAYERS, U & ME THAT WORK) have to pay for people that don't? That really gets me PI55ED! War: The troops need to come home! But the job has to be finished. This is where it gets fuzzy, but HUGE progress has been made by uprooting Saddam, Al Quada (sp?), etc... Give them the tools for peace, and let's get out! Immigration: There are legal avenues to become a USA citizen. Lots of people are wanting to become one... If you you don't follow the rules, you are breaking the laws of the USA and you need to get the H3LL OUT! Illegal immigrants come into USA, work and send the $$$ back to the country from where they came. Close the friggin borders, use fences, etc... to slow the encroachment of illegals and possible terrorists sneaking into the country. Are we the ONLY country in the world that still has open borders? OK, I could keep going on forever, but now let's see who is up to the plate? Either way we go... we are SCREWED! |
