Default Solaris Engineer or Security Administrator

Hello guys, there are several doubts coming in my mind and i want to know which position leads to a better money and future? What do you think of solaris Engineer and security admin post? Solaris Engineer would have to troubleshoot and maintain servers and at the same time need to learn about storage concepts and troubleshoot them but the bad things about them is its hard to troubleshoot as like not many ppl are very experience on this. When we escalate the problem to the principal company, we have to wait for a long time. For security admin,we will have to do the basic stuffs like security for windows and operating system. I guess its not that hard to learn. But for future consideration, which one is preferred?

Hmmm I'd say between the two, the security position may be a better one. But having said that, just staying as an admin would not earn you the money you want.

Good money is earned when you are in a position that brings in money to an organization. Yup. Sales that is. But fret not, there's always the technical part of sales, tech sales, pre-sales... now, that's good money. But to get there, you need to know your basics. The only question now is which area you want to specialize in.

I would stay away from Security Administrator. It could be career suicide.

Also, Beware of ads for fake jobs = Dream job at Microsoft turns out to be too good to be true = Dream job at Microsoft turns out to be too good to be true
