Default HELP!!! PC won't boot up

I had been using the PC for almost the whole day non-stop yesterday and only off it this morning. Later in the evening I tried to on it but the whole thing won't start. Usually when I power on, it would sound a beep and then boot up but no more beep coming from it anymore. The LEDs and fans are running, though.

I am suspecting the problem lies with either one of these:

1. PSU - When I was using the computer last night, I think I smelt something like 'rubber burning'. If the PSU is burned-out, it will no longer able to power up the PC.

2. Motherboard - Could it be that instead? Because the fans are still able to run and LEDs are lighted up, the PSU should probably be still working. Er, not too sure. If it's the mobo, then it is as good as gone case already. Nooooo!!! Hope not.

3. Battery - The CMOS battery is flat? I was using the computer at around 3.30am today but the time showed 11pm, Sep 6. The clock slowed down due to insufficent power from the battery? And now no more power? Will a flat battery cause a PC not able to boot up?

Which is more likely the be the main problem? Please help!

• When opened up, the rig's still smelling like burned rubber inside?
• Clear CMOS (jumper) and try again.
• Check if any exp-card is still sitting in its slot tight and all cabeling is pluged in completely.
• Got another PSU to swap?
• If all fails, try to unplug everything except power + panel LEDs/switches and remove any exp-card except gfx.
Then try again.

No smell.
I have cleared the CMOS but that didn't solve the problem.
What's exp-card? Everything is firmly in place.
No extra PSU. I think I will to try get one later. -__-
Will try that later and see.

I just tried unplugging everything out but didn't work. *Sigh* Don't tell me my motherboard is dead. Hmm...could it be the HDD?

As long as you got no chance to test some other PSU/this PSU in another sys ... this should be the most important task in the first place. ^^
And it could not be the HDD if you did unplug everything, right?

in my experience if everything is powered up but blank screen it must be the processor.. try touch the processor heatsink.. if no heat built up then your processor is dead.. like my case, it didnt give me any sign.. it just dead like that.. blank screen but everything seems to run except the processor..
