Default Digital become Analog!

well, the most peculiar thing happen today. all my HDD are SATA's and i had an old Western Digital 20GB PATA HDD (2002) laying around so i thought i'll hook it up and check if it's still working. After plugging it in, and rebooting my com, it detects it with no problems. so then i took it off and restarted and the next thing i know i can't boot to bios...

my Samsung 172x (DVi) just blinks there for a bit till windows loads up. after a while, i plug in the analog cable and restarted. straight away it works. now i have two cable connected to my graphic card, a dvi and an analog. in windows i've set it to use digital.

so frustrating to have to use analog cable to go in bios.. any idea why?

don't know what i did exactly.. but after a few reboots it finally detect digital signal..

the problem is that when starting up windows, bios screen only will show in analog signal.. that means can't access bios at all if plug using dvi cable..

okay this problem is back. don't understand it..
the problem maybe is from either :

1. 6600gt graphic card pcie
2. asus a8n-sli mobo
3. or 17" LCD Samsung SyncMaster 172x

if i wanna see the initial bootup screen i need to plug in the analog cable.. the mobo / graphic card just doesn't wanna detect digital anymore until it loads up windows.
