I just looked up the manual, and I would guess one of two things. Either the BIOS doesent support it, or it does support it and forces it on when it's avalebal and doesent show the option.
If you want to see if it's enabled, try a utility like Active SMART. It will at least let you know if it's on or not. That can be downloaded here .

I know this program. It does not tell me if my mobo supports or not SMART. Even if my mobo supports and its disabled the program wouldn't report me. When I bought my mobo, it was the top for socket A and it's unlikely that a top model doesn't support SMART. Something is hidden and I can't enable it. Thanks

Yes, we are... It reports hdd data about bad blocks, temperature and everything else bout your hard disk. It also reports when it fails or when it will fail, I guess. Sometimes it's very useful to prevent hdd failure. Unfortunately it seems my mobo doesn't support.

Hmm weird indeed that it does not have tat option in the BIOS, since older boards did have that option.

I did a search in their BIOS updates, doesn't mention SMART anywhere

I know I wouldn't want to mess with the BIOS on the motherboard. Updating it, sure, but altering it, I won't touch it. Really risky...

SMART isn't that great IMHO. Sure, it offers "some" predictive suggestions about the possibility of a drive failing. But I don't think it's worth enabling.

Check the BIOS Optimization Guide for more on SMART - http://www.rojakpot.com/bog.aspx.

The simplified version is available here - http://www.rojakpot.com/freebog.aspx.
