everything is so insensitive..lol..especially the touchpad...

Well, some blame must be put on the user as well.

After all, I've been using notebooks for many years now. Even my first notebook (a Fujitsu P2040) is still running well!

It depends on how you treat your notebook. I've seen many people throwing their notebooks around, even when it's still running! And they wonder why their hard disks die so early.

Treat your notebook well, and it will last a long, long time.

I had a Toshiba 430CDT. I put it into storage with its batterry removed in fear that the batterry would ruin the laptop.

Alas, after about 2 years its NiCd backup battery inside it died! And it corroded away a substantial amount of the circuitry, causing my later attempts to boot it to fail.

I think back now and if I was more ignorant about ways a laptop could die whilst in storage it would still be working today!
