Double layer DVD-RW problem

Ok, I've used Nero 7 to backup important stuff onto an 8.5 Gb Double layer DVD-RW.

But I now wanna delete what's on the DVD and do another backup but when I try to delete the backups already on the disk, it tells me they're read only and I can't delete em.

I know, this has gotta be a really noob issue but why is it not lettin' me delete off the DVD??

Treat DVD-RW as a normal DVD-R, but can be reformatted. Find the option to erase the disc completely.

Yeah, Nero has an Erase Disc option. Just use it to clear the disc.
