Newegg has em for 295. I personally dont like tiger direct coz they have bad rep. I mean if u wanna use ur gift card and get the combos by all means do, but try looking elsewhere for hardware. I usually buy from a few places when I build a PC.

What is optepron? Which is better: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...706&CatId=2040 or http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...1-A64-3500%20E Last edited by Pmaw10 : 5th Mar 2006 at 04:56 AM. |

Get one from Enermax, Antec, sparkle, fotron, or ocz. Good powersupplies go a long way. Get one with a 20+4 ATX powerconnector. The processors that you just linked is socket 939 processors but the cpu and mobo that u posted in your first post is socket 754. Which one are u gonna use?

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | Ya, I was looking and found a geforce 7800 with a mobo for like 350 bucks and it had 4 ram slots instead of 3 and it was socket 939. I don't know what to do. Can you guys suggest parts for each category that are good ones, I seem to go for the bad ones. I am trying to keep it uner 1000 |

CPU: Get the 3500+, you won't really use the extra 'advantages' of an Opteron

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | Actually 2gb of ram is only like 120 bucks. And speaking of ram, I am getting 512mb of ram for this PC just to hold me over so I don't kill myself. How do I know what my mobo is compatible with. I have pc2100 right now but I want to know if it supports pc3200. Anyone know how I can find out. |
