Default Restart Problem

Please help. Initially, the com restart by itself while serving the net. Then, when play game, often initially then restart. Then finally, restart, see windows loading but didn't enter into blue windows xp says welcome. After that format and delete partition, redo partition and reinstall, everything works fine until, just now only, retsrat while keying on the net. Fear that it might be the same problem.

Is it because of power supply? Or is it mobo, or what???

How come??? It doesn't always restart at the beginning so to take out one component by one component to test will be merely impractical. Please advice. ASAP.

Thanks.

could you give your computer specs and also what have you done to diagnose the problem?

for example, it could be heat issues that causes it to restart - and the restarts may have damage your windows so you had to format

next time, try to repairing the windows instead of "format and delete partition, redo partition and reinstall", saves a lot of time. all program will still be intact, just windows reinstalled.

I had a similar problem. My PC would get to the windoes loading screen and after it would go black and laod all over again and it would do that over and over. I never figured out the problem though, I just got a new PC.

I think it could be your RAM. Usually if it's something else, it will lock the PC up or shut it down completely. Use Memtest86. You will need a blank floppy disk or CD-R/RW.

usually i solve such problem with by repairing windows.

basically it reinstalls itself but not changing the details of your installed programs and such.
