Default Cheap 7.1 sound?

Has anyone heard of the Chaintech AV-710 soundcard? Reviews seem promising.

Considering how cheap it is, I might just get one. Has anyone else here have experienced this soundcard?

my previous card n i absolutely love it but only in 2.1 coz in 7.1 its jus rubbish n crap..forget about this card if u wana hook to 7.1

but if u hook to a good 2.1 speaker its very sweet..so this card only good for 2.1 n not for 7.1 even its cheap but u better look elsewhere

Yup, this card only has 2 very good output, this is a very highly rated card for the 2 outputs. I almost bought this. Then again, I'm a music listener, not a movie freak.

Thanks for the help, guys! I'm not really into having a bazillion of speakers, anyway. I like simplifying things and having more speakers only mean more wires and a greater chance of having a bigger mess!! I plan on using the optical out in the future. Maybe hook it up to a Bose 501 series if budget permits.
I was looking into 2.1 and now that I have your opinions, I think that I'll get one. Thanks again!!

all i heard about this card is good thing , i believe the only bad things about this card is the driver or the software. M -audio using the same sound chip as chaintech but with better software and driver. Thats wat i heard from the others.

i know you probably allready have your 2.1 setup bought and installed but if you really wanted 7.1 i think the best/cheapest way would be to get a soundblaster audigy 2 oem. They fixed all the oem's driver bugs not too long ago so now its a good deal, and i think ive even seen an audigy 4 for less than 80$.
