Default Harddisk lag?

How come my hard disk is laggy one.. evertime i use it will alg for about 3 or maybe 5 second an then normal agian.. Mine is WD 200GB SATA. I have devided it into 2 partitions. Both partitions still have 80GB left. Is there any problem with hy HDD or it's because the size is too big? Sorry for my borken English

what makes you think it is your hard disk which is lagging ?

have you scanned for spyware ?

are you running any programs ? list them.

exactly..alot of factors such as zy says..spyware or even u run excessive background programs

You should definetly run programs such as spybot or ad aware. Maybe you could also use Ccleaner to get rid of uneeded junk and maybe defrag your hard drive.

you set a time for it go into standby? (with spindown)
it usually take a few sec to get back into service...

Flashget Download Manager is usually considered to be a trojan it's formal name is W32/Rbot-AGZ WORM/IRC backdoor trojan. Make sure you keep norton anti-virus updated. I would recommend that run a spyware checker and run your anti-virus check in safe mode. By using the bittorrent client you might have picked up some other undesirable malware.

symptoms.. erm let me see.. I dunno actually but whenever i run programs (any) it will suddenly lag.. sometime long sometime short.. Oh ya sometime I watch anime.. during the OST it lag also.. open MSN chat till half way lag a while also.. and more.. I have scan for spyware and adware.. repaired also.... so anything else I can do to check wheter is my hard disk got problem or what
