Just got my first pair of decent cans

Audio Technica ATH-AD5. Bass a bit weak but some tweaking takes care of that. Nice bright and detailed sound

When you start pushing the headphones, or the impedence rating is high, then you will need an amp.

That's the characteristics of an opened design cans.

I'm using a pair of Sennheiser RS45 wireless headphones for watching movies when the whole family is asleep, which isn't very decent in terms of sound reproduction but the wireless function is needed, so I guess I'll need to make do with it.

Might be a good idea to resurrect this thread so that we can stop dragging the Rig gallery thread off-topic

I just bought 2 pairs of these canalphones, one for my friend who just got an iPod Nano and complains about the iBuds being like cardboard slapping his ears
Same OEM as the ones being discussed here: http://z10.invisionfree.com/headphon...?showtopic=520

The colour scheme reminds me a bit of the Ety ER4P/S (don't judge by the poor pic on HWZ)
Essentially one of the best audio bargains around. Great bass impact with the right recording and equipment, but more importantly, it's not at the expense of clarity and detail. This could turn out to be the "Grado sound in an IEM/canalphone" that many have been searching for
