Reputation: 852 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 14 | Hey there, I'm getting a better sturdy budget PSU for my rig, and I found Coolermaster eXtreme power 380watts. But they have +12V1 and +12V2 rails on it!! Will my MSI K8NGM-V (a 754 motherboard) run on two PSU rails?? And I'm choosing the +12V rail which is more than 20A, but the +12V1 is 10A while the +12V2 is 15A. Is +12V1 + +12V2 = 25A?? Is it okay for me to get two rails PSU for such a single-PCIE motherboard? I thought two rails PSU = SLi Ready PSU? Or a SLi Ready PSU is a seperate PSU?? Please advise.

Reputation: 716 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 11 | why not? +12V1 is suppose to be dedicated to cpu+mobo; +12V2 is for the rest of ur components (eg. hdd, fans, cd-rom) if ur gfx needs PCIe power adapter, den most probably its gonna eat on the +12V2 as well... |
