Can't add an additional SATA HDD - Page 2

Well, i'm a newbie here. I wonder if the SATA driver still remain even after you had reformatted your computer? I've reformatted my pc a couple of times but I don't have problems with SATA drivers at all. I mean I don't need to install any SATA drivers. But why does Khelben need to?

depends on your chipset / motherboard

like my SATA ... runs on IDE mode .. so it uses standard IDE drivers .. i do not need to install any SATA drivers ..

What are IDE drivers? Intergrated Drive Electronics? Drivers that are integrated to your mobo's chipset?

the driver is not integrated into your chipset.
