Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | Please see this thread. I tried reinstalling XP using the upgrade option (hoping to save programs and settings) and all I get is the blue screen with a stop message. I'm totally lost on what I should do now. Thanks for any assistance, Millertime |

First , repair the installation, if still cannot, then do a clean installation without formatting, backup all the files , then do a format and reinstall xp, then transfer back all your files. Upgrade option does not seem to be a good option, just to make it easier for those people who does not how to install from DOS to upgrade to XP. Some files which are not associated with the system are left floating around your computer, occupying space and make your system unstable |
