hahah...he didn't say clearly. initially the one i showed him is about RM 2.7k which comes with Pentium D. He then adviced me to go with Core 2 Duo

btw, the option that DELL offers doesn't have the 1GB Ram. It's either 512k x 2, 1GB x 2, 1 GB x 4.

seem like they are clever too...

they want you to run Dual Channel .. & yea, they are smart too ...

luckily i was able to configure my Dell M1210 with a single stick of RAM ( but in US they offer DualChannel only)

But there's a way around this...

Instead of buying online, configure the system yo uwant first and get the quote.

Then call up one of their sales rep and BARGAIN!

Yes, you can bargain with them. It's possible to get them to upgrade your single 512MB RAM to a single 1GB DIMM, or even more, if you are good.

Ya, u can configure whatever u want on DELL except going for a specific predifined model which will cost u marginally higher.
