recommend a printer that can do direct cd print.
 

my canon ip3000 just fail! suspect it was print head choked & unable to print Cyan color despite changing a new cartridge. :wall: :wall:

Did you use a genuine Canon cartridge? :think:

just check with canon and ask how much will the print head repair/replacement cost. The last time i asked for my IP5200, it's about RM1xx

err... i used a compatible one for a yr but no problem. lately switch to another brand, sempxxn, cos i couldn't find the old brand in the market.now the Cyan ink is dead despite change to a new original one. :wall:

yap! i called up canon, they quoted me S$64 for the printer head, iP3000 no longer available, maybe some shop do carry them but most likely will be below S$160?? each color cartridge selling S$16.90, black cartridge im not sure but est S$19. total will be S$130+, if i buy them separate. :shock: :shock:

Seem that it almost come to a point getting a new point :think: Possible that sempxxn bring your printer down :doh:

just check, ip4200 retailing at S$179 but the cartridge is selling S$19.50 each and need 5 of it. :shock: kinda hard to maintain, also found out there's no compatible cartridge for CLI8 cartridge as there's chip on it! :shock:

semp--n ink supposed to be "well known" compatible refill ink brand but i dunno why it cause my printer down. :wall: :wall:

just bought ip4200, it's probably the cheapest printer that has direct disc print feature now. :wave: i got it at S$135 after S$30 cash rebate from canon. that's alot cheaper when i bought my ip3000 a yr ago!! :doh:

also found the compatible cartridge but the sale person said need to remove the chip fm the original cartridge and use a double sided tape to paste to the compatible cartridge inorder to work. :shock: :shock:

yup the IP4200 is pretty cheap and good too.
