Default Segate Barracuda 7200.7 "Help"

I just bought this Segate 7200.9 and the connection does not match my 40 pin connection, is there an adaptor out there?
Thanks

Welcome to TechARP forums!

Hmm.. Is it a 7200.7 or 7200.9?

Doesn't fit? Could it be a SATA hard drive?

go change the hard disk to an IDE, told them you bought a wrong one

OR

you have to buy something like this : http://www.cooldrives.com/samibrcosadr.html

OR ..

you can buy a SATA PCI card

That's a SATA (Serial ATA) model. The model you need to buy for your IDE or PATA (Parallel ATA) cable is ST380011A (without the S).

You will have to follow one of zy's suggestions.
