Default help!!!!

My PC keeps restarting by itself(every 5-10mins) especially while watching videos using kmplayer(same prob with other players), sometimes theres a blue screen, driver not less or equal/irql nor less or equal. sometimes, it jus restart(no blue screen). i tried playing games but nothing happens even after 1-2hrs but after that i switched to watching videos, it restart again. the videos, kmplayer have no prob when using my bro pc to watch. ad-ware/spyware/virus scanned but showed nothing. i tried leaving the pc on without doing anything and it will hang ard 45-1hr later. winxp had been reinstalled and the prob is not solved. can it be that the processor is spoilt? what can i do?

my mobo specs

Most likely a driver issue. What graphics card are you using? Or are you using an integrated Intel graphics chip?

Obviously a hardware/driver issue, IRQ_less_or_not_equal means that something has failed to respond to an Interrupt Request.

Best you can do is to update your drivers to the latest ones by the manufacturer, and flash your BIOS to the newest release. But i do suspect it is hardware issue.

If updating doesn't help

1. Check the temps of your PC (proc core, northbridge, vrms and stuff) make sure none goes above 60c.

2. Check all the connections, take out your RAM and reinsert it firmly, do the same for all other motherboard components.

3. Clear your PC of dust and gunk.

The above usually clears up 90 percent of my premature BSOD cases.

but from what i know, if BIOS is updated wrongly, it can cause system failure. i'm not so confidence in doing it. is it really needed to use floppy disk for bios update as indicated by the mobo website?

Well, anything NOT done properly will always lead to trouble, right?

It depends on your motherboard. Some motherboards have Windows-based utilities to flash the BIOS. But even if given the option, I prefer to use the floppy drive.

if system fails to start up after updating bios, is there a way to change back to the original bios?

If you make sure you are flashing the RIGHT BIOS, it's unlikely to fail unless there's a power failure. In any case, there are workarounds for BIOS failures.

You might want to read our motherboard BIOS flashing guide and Hot Flashing Guide before you try it out.

I would recommend updating the Intel Extreme Graphics driver first though. See if the driver is the problem.

I highly suspect RAM failure.

Hmm.. Possible, but a bit unlikely since it only occurs during video playback.
