Help needed....

Hey ppl... I certainly need help from ya all on the prob I encounter on my computer. My specs are as follows

AMD Athlon 1800+
MSI KT3 ultra
80GB HDD
Nvidia Geforce4 MX
512MB Ram

Here are my prob. When I booted my computer I heard the usual 1 beep sound where ur screen usually shows your computer stats after that beep. But this time my screen just doesnt show anything as is like the the monitor doesnt receive any signal from the unit itself. I try to change a working graphic cards into it but it still doesnt show any display. I certainly ran out of idea. Was it a mobo prob? Hopefully you all can help me out.

So, the sys is booting up like it used to be (HD-activity)
but there's no pic showing up?
Or is there a new beep-code in addition?

is the normal beep which v use to hear... hdd activity is like load abit then it doesnt load at all after tht...

yeah there is no picture showing up.

Ic.
So try this (even if it sounds odd):
Check if all RAM modules are in place, disconnect
every IDE/SATA device (HD, CD/DVD) from the mobo
and try again.

Try a different monitor also.

ive tested this rig with 2 different monitors.... both also in standby mode when this rig is power on. i tried with a crt n a lcd monitor.

So you have to test it step by step.
Take out any card you may added (except the grafix of course),
disconnect everything except power and leds/switches from the mobo.

Mobo, CPU, RAM, grafix ... not more.
Try it.

If there's still no pic, swap the grafix again.
If there's still no pic, try less RAM, rearrange it or swap it with other modules if possible.
If there's still no pic, try a different PSU.
If there's still no pic ... well ... ^^

umm i haven tested out yet... dismantling everything... swill be doin it once im home.
