still. the 2mb part doesn't hurt that much.
like K8, beyond 512k, hardly see any improvement.

the same goes for conroe. 2mb to 4mb, wont feel it in real world..

As for the graphics card, do you think colorful is alright?

And, I'm split between getting an entry level 8600GT or mid range 7900GS, what do you think?

edit - for a motherboard , budget between RM350-400, which want do you think I should get?

The 8600GT has several flavours - look for the GTS if you can afford it. Or wait for the prices to fall for these.

Colorful graphics card are okay.

And P5B all the way too, or a DS3. Biostar's 965P works good too.

what about X1900Pro? not a bad card u know.
