Audio driver problem with P5B-E Plus

I just setup my new system but seems like things are getting a little bumpy now. I can't install the audio drivers for the P5B-E Plus. Attached are the problems. There's a Code 10 problem saying the device failed to start. I tried with the driver cd included, same problem. Tried downloading the new driver from ASUS website, same problem. What's exactly the problem? Any ideas?

This happened on Windows XP. Below are my system specs though I think it won't help much.

C2D E6600
1GB RAM
P5B-E Plus
Seagate 320GB + WD 250GB

At least you could try to switch BIOS back to "setup
defaults" (no OCing active) and check if it's working.
Furthermore check if the external audio connector
(front audio) on the mobo is closed jumper-wise
(if you don't use front panel audio connector of course).

Funny thing is.. the motherboard is brand new.

did you try to install the HD BUS driver manually?
installing HD audio can be a PITA sometimes. had this issue before. a manual install of the bus hotfix fixed it.

Looks like it was the Dashken effect.

There was nothing wrong with the motherboard. Problem solved after Dashken tried a DIFFERENT Windows XP CD.
