Default blank on boot but only happened one time.

Ok, I have never had this issue before, but on one boot after the computer had been off overnight, it booted up with a blank screen, I'm pretty sure its not the video card, at least I hope not. I started the computer when it said no signal, and I think it booted into windows and everything. When I re-booted, it was fine. I have not been able to get the problem to re-occur, maybe it was timing, I am not sure. I did notice once that with this card you can't boot up with the monitor disconnected, then plug it in, has to detect it.

Monitor is a Viewsonic VX922
video card is a Geforce 8800 GTS
CPU is a 3 Ghz penitum D, with 2 gigs of ram on a D955XBK motherboard.

edit: The screen come up when windows actually comes up, just not in the POST......still, it did that without me unplugging the monitor...weird

Hmm.. You mean, it booted up with a blank screen UNTIL Windows loaded? That could merely be due to the monitor taking its time to start-up.

No signal? That really sounds like the video card is not functioning. Are you using Windows Vista AND restoring the PC from a hibernate or sleep mode, by any chance?

any overclocking, either the card of the FSBs? And since it only happened once, I doubt that it's the LCD's fault or the graphic card's fault too... Hmmm
Weird though.l

BTW, nice LCD Monitor
