Having a Gigabyte motherboard doesn't mean it's good. Gigabyte has low end and highend motherboard. If you are not even sure what's the model or the chipset used, chances are, they are cheap motherboard as well.

About the front panel bay, I don't have one. Try to find some reviews from Google. The Aerocool one was just an example.

Haha... One of my friend's Gigabyte for Slot 1 has all of the swollen caps all over the board too. I can say that the high-end ones are good, and not sure of the low-end ones. Well, many people buy the DS3, and apparently it's a famous brand.

Hmm .. is there any good brand for 3 in 1 ar? I mean .. surge protector, voltage regularator and lightning arrestor .. all built into a single unit or component?

Wish I can get a reply very soon .. coz was thinking to go to Low Yat Plaza after work today to buy it. Hmmm .. sounds pushy huh? Sorry ... hehehe ....

Hmm.. I don't think lightning protectors work that well. If you want a surge protector, you can just get one of those power strips that double up as surge protectors.

IMHO, if you want something really good, get a UPS. It will not only give you backup power, most will also condition the line and protect you against surges and lightning.
